Hello!! We are Jim and Lisa McCabe, now headquartered in Texas. Jim retired in 2016, I retired the end of 2017. Just before I fully retired, we sold our home in Bullhead City, AZ and moved into our 2017 Tiffin Phaeton RV. Now we split our time between exploring the US and living in our “sticks and bricks” home in Guarare, Panama.
Jim’s career spanned over 31 years in the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. He started as a volunteer Search and Rescue member and held virtually every position throughout his career. After 18 years as Chief Deputy, Jim was appointed Mohave County Sheriff to fill the vacancy left when the former Sheriff retired mid-term. Jim served two years and then retired on December 31, 2016.
I spent 25 years working in the Casino Resort industry in Laughlin, NV, most recently for nine years as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at the largest resort in town. I then led the Bullhead Regional Economic Development Authority for six years before accepting a position as Community Outreach for Golden Vertex Corp, the company that re-activated the Moss Gold/Silver mine located just outside of Bullhead City, AZ.
This blog is a series of posts about our travels. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them!
