After a day or two recouping from the harrowing drive, and another few days spent with Lisa having emergency oral surgery to remove a broken tooth, we finally began to explore this part of the Ozarks.
Dogwood Canyon is a beautiful nature preserve nearby where you can hike, rent bicycles or ride a tram throughout the park. We spent a relaxing couple of hours strolling a few trails, exploring the museum and of course bought a souvenir or two from the gift shop.
We then spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying lunch on the patio, mesmerized by this beautiful natural waterfall. All in all, another great day of retirement!
What. No kayaking?
