Tall Ships Festival – Part 2

The Tall Ships Festival was in full force on Friday.  The ships were docked and people were allowed to tour the inside of each ship and talk with the crew.  There were about a half dozen food trucks, vendors and more.  All in all a really well done event!

Jim and I continued our tourist day by taking the Trolley from the historic downtown area to the beach side of the island.  We visited the Pleasure Pier…although we chose not to pay the $10 per person admission required to simply walk on the pier…rides are extra…yikes!!

We then took a Duck Tour which was a hoot!  We toured the highlights of Galveston, drove through a Bayou and ended our day at the Cajun Greek restaurant for blue crab and oysters on the half shell.
